An intergenerational ladies’ retreat in preparation for Lent

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

Advent has come and gone and our next period of holy waiting-Lent, will soon be upon us.  In preparation, Pastor Melissa invites you to lean into the blessing of women’s friendships across generations at this unique day retreat.  During the retreat, we will learn about ways to enhance your prayer life by creating prayer notebooks and palm crosses (the kind you hold, not the leaf kind), and of course, it wouldn’t be a Pastor Melissa thing without a few surprises. Lunch will be picnic-style, you provide your lunch, and we’ll provide the lemonade (or hot cocoa) and homemade pie!

This event is open to ladies aged 16-116. So, invite your friends, daughters, and grand-daughters to PiE-Praying in Earnest on Saturday January 27th. Pre-registration is required to make sure we have enough supplies and pie! Sign-up sheets will be in the Narthex during the next two Sundays. Email melissa@whartonfumc.org for additional information.
